Hayden Hart Movie Club
The movie club is only for fun. I will be picking movies to watch from the Netflix instant watch. I think the first movie will be Monday the 8th. The first movie will be While She Was Out. Its a thriller. It had average ratings on Netfilx. Let's enjoy the rest of the summer with Movie Monday's.

ReplyDeleteJudging from reading the screenplay WSWO is an ok movie but not very original. It reminded me in some ways of Thelma&Louise but that movie worked on a much deeper level imo. Also I started thinking of First Blood with Della as a female John Rambo in some scenes. And probably a dozen other movies came to mind while reading the screenplay.I can't claim to have felt any character worth rooting for, perhaps actually seeing the movie would have helped in that respect. Simply found the characters too shallow all around, too many stereotypes. On the other hand its a thriller and it works on that level. Maybe too much to ask to have more depth to the characters. My two cents...
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing the movie, I've only got a few things to add to my previous comment. Some scenes were different from the screenplay draft I read, but the changes does not affect my impression of the movie. I still think its average at best. The performances by the actors were ok but nothing to write home about. Going through the motions.
