I took a stroll through all the fun what nots they had for sale. You can pretty much get just about anything clothing, accessories, cooking supplies, toys. It kind of reminds of the country store in Cracker Barrel Resturants. Then I went up stairs where you can view the candy being made. These ladies are making pecan divinity. Which I absolutely love!
The smell of all the candy being made me hungry. I had to get some for the road before I left. And that I did!!!
I finally arrived in Chattanooga late in the evening. I checked into my hotel and went straight to sleep. I got a brand new renovated room so, I was really happy about that. I needed a good nights sleep because I was touring the Tennessee Aquarium the following day.
The Tennessee Aquarium was amazing. I really loved the butterfly garden room. The butterflies would land on you as if you were a flower.
My sister really likes penguins. They were really showing off while were watching and taking pictures. The one below is named bug. My sister bought a painting of some "art work" he made. It was basically painting where he walked through paint and then walked onto canvas. Its really interesting.
The was an entire room devoted to Jelly fish. It was so peaceful. They really are beautiful to watch. They had several different species of jelly fish to view.

I stopped in the middle of the day to eat. I choose a place that was within walking distance to the aquarium because parking in downtown Chattanooga was crazy. I ended up at Big River Grill.
I had a green salad and two root beers. They brew their own beers at the resurant. I wasn't in the mood for a beer so, I chose the root beer. I have to say they brew a good root beer. Its not the best I have had but, its a close second. I sent the rest of time in Chattanooga visiting with friends and resting.
The drive home was really fast. I made excellent time. I stopped at the Giant Peach in Clanton, Alabama to stretch my legs.
You can see I bought myself some peaches. I also bought boiled peanuts and strawberry perseveres.

Sounds like a really fun and interesting trip. Very interesting to see all the pictures. Also nice to have the links to the places to learn some more about them. The butterfly garden room reminds me of a similar part of the San Diego Zoo I visited with my brother long ago. Maybe I ought to check if I have any pictures of any butterflies from there. Thanks for a great post & for sharing your adventures :)
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly garden was my favorite part. I stayed there for a while. They were so beautiful.
